The Shattered Clock

Why this game instead of others?

This is the world’s first Mingle-Player Game!
A single-player turn-based game with multi-player elements, where some of your actions affect everyone else’s game.
No servers, no P2P connections.

It is a mix between a single-player and multi-player game. Everyone plays their game as a single-player game, mostly. There are actions that you, or other players, can do which affect all other players (who are online at the time).

A small example – a trader completing a contract creates a limited number of elven arrows that are now available for all players that were online at the time of the contract being completed.

Mingle-player format also allows for GM (gamesmaster) actions. Like making a swarm of zombies, or maybe a dragon appear. Or a host of different things.

With 50+ skills, 5 classes (guilds), and the opportunity to relax as a farmer from time to time, you get to choose what you train, what you use, and how you build your character.

Whether you want a stealthy cleric, a heavily armoured mage, or a fighter that prioritises spells in combat, the choices are yours to make.

You can level up through experience points.

You can rank up in a guild by having high enough skills.

And all classes can train all skills.

And though days, weeks, months and years will pass by in this game, the style of turn-based gaming TSC employs allows you the luxury of being able to get up and attend to other life matters at an instance, no pausing required, no monsters or other players killing you whilst you are afk.

This method also allows you to plan strategically, type at your own speed and play the game in your time, not forced with monsters or other players trying to kill you.

The combat system takes into account the weapon you use, the types of attacks, your stats, the armour of your adversary, whether it’s dark or light, magical or potion effects, special class effects, your skills in weapon and armour, your stamina and balance.

These and others are effects for you to explore and master, the difference between a newbie and an expert adventurer.

Your balance and stamina are important, so simply hacking away at your enemy with the same repeated attack is not a good idea.

Learning some Sword Dances is a good idea.

There will constantly be room for growth, new towns and cities, new land masses, new islands, new worlds, and even new timelines or dimensions. Your character can stay with you the whole way through your journey.

Learn power words and then use single power words or combine them for more powerful spells. Magic can be used in and out of combat. Everyone can use magic, but mages get a bonus, and some spells are mage-only.

Prayers belong to the Clerics, non-combat and combat prayers. They use the devotion resource and depend upon the power of the specific God that you prayed to in that particular area (which you can increase or decrease).

Soul abilities belong to the Rogues. We can not post more on these publicly in case the rogues find this and extract revenge for revealing rogue secrets.

Every player shapes the economy, from completing monster quests, farming, and especially trading. There are echo effects that touch everyone’s game.

Where it might be low rewards for monster quests in one area one day, an increase in trader class players in that area might drive demand up and increase rewards another day.

Certain rarer items might also appear after enough trading contracts have been completed, but these items might be grabbed by any player and then disappear for all others, until more trading is done to resupply the rare goods.

Are you a trader in need of adventurers completing monster hunting quests in a certain area? Come and find some adventurers on Discord.
